Very disappointing experience – concrete colour and finish do not match I used Opal SA Construction for my exposed aggregate concrete. I trusted the company and paid the full amount in cash before the job was completed. Unfortunately, the concrete was poured on different days, and the finished sections are clearly different in colour, aggregate/stone and overall appearance. As you can see in my photos, the difference is very noticeable. I contacted the company and asked them to come and inspect the problem. They came to have a look, but I was very disappointed with the way my concern was handled. Instead of taking responsibility and offering a proper solution, I felt that my concerns were dismissed. I paid for a consistent exposed aggregate finish and expected the completed area to look the same. I trusted them to do the job properly, but after the work was finished, I was left with a result that does not look consistent. I recommend that anyone considering using this company carefully check the concrete finish before making full payment and make sure any concerns about colour and aggregate are resolved first. I hope Opal SA Construction will reconsider this matter and take responsibility for finding a reasonable solution. I would not recommend them based on my experience.

I contacted a few people before Javed and it became clear that he was the guy for the job. He has good experience and planning skills that will assist you with any hurdles that your project faces. He and his team excavated the property, dumped the soil, added and compacted gravel, added the formwork, fixed the rebar at correct height, and set the concrete at 110mm depth. Highly recommended!
