Opal SA Construction Terms & Conditions
1. Our quote is subject to the following and any changes will be charged accordingly:
- Any modifications to original

- Any machine, pump and/or concrete

3. Terms of payment:
- If a quote is less than $20, 000 a 50% deposit of the total quoted price will be required before Opal SA Construction Pty Ltd begins work. If the quote is for more than $20, 000 a 35% deposit of the total quoted price will be required before Opal SA Construction Pty Ltd begins This can be paid by cheque, direct deposit, or cash.

- Full payment is due within 7 days of the job being completed unless otherwise

4. Delays
- The successful completion of the works quoted is subject to the client providing reasonable access and availability to the job site. Therefore, no responsibility is accepted for any delays resulting from a lack of access or availability including interference/noncompliance from other trades and suppliers. Any extra machine time will be charged out at Opal SA Construction Pty Ltd’s actual cost plus 10% plus GST which is fully payable to Opal SA Construction Pty Ltd by the client.
6. Defects & Back Charges
- Iron staining, colour changing, inconsistency with aggregate colour and foreign materials. Aggregates are a natural product and therefore aesthetic and chemical consistency of this material cannot be guaranteed.
- Colour change due to cement, i.e. brightonlite can give a greenish tint due to a change in the raw materials used Jn the manufacturing of cement, which our concrete supplier has no control over.
- Decorative concrete is manufactured out of raw materials from natural resources. Therefore, we will not be held responsible for colour variations.
- The aesthetic appearance of the concrete after it has been washed off and the aggregate has been exposed may vary. Different levels of exposure can change the appearance of the concrete.
- All concrete shrinks as it hardens and this can result in cracking. To minimize the amount and severity of cracking in floor slabs, it is advised that you contact a structural engineer, so that they can assess and take into account soil conditions, slab design thickness, reinforcement and jointing details to ensure the design reflects the expected outcome.
- Any defects will not be rectified until Opal SA Construction Pty Ltd has received payment in full for the works

7. Cancellation Policy:
- A minimum of 24-hour notice is required for the cancellation of a job at any time. This must be in writing.
